*Tricycle fare reversed to 20Naira*
The new Tricycle transportation scheme, as introduced by the immediate-past FUTASU Administration, which was at the rate of 30Naira, has been reduced, or more
suitably, reversed (It was 20Naira during inception).
The development came in less than 72hours in office of the new FUTASU 2017/2018 Executives, led by Comr. Olaseinde Adeyinka (Sir Newton).
Notably, the President of the Union, stated on his Inauguration that, the fare would be reversed to the stipulated price.
In the early hours of today, 16th May, 2017, a resolution was made between the Union Leaders and the Tricycle Operators, in lieu with the earlier meeting with the University Transport Committee, where the fare was agreed to be reversed.
In a media chat with the FUTASU Public Relations Officer, Comr. Fowowe Ayomide (HayWhy), he stated that the Union is delighted at the development, "as it will ease transportation within the school"
He further said "The tricycle's bus stop is at Akindeko Hall of Residence's Frontage, and it will run its coast round the school - to all Hostels, as far as 1000 capacity LT, etc at 20Naira."
He further disclosed that "though we have limited Tricycles available now, I can assure you that if you patiently wait at the bus stop, they will come".
"The price reduction runs with immediate effect" - as said by the FUTASU President.
