University Of Ibadan
No pharmacy students will be admitted this year, here's why

The axe of the National Universities Commission landed on their heads.

The National Universities Commission has now dis-accredited Pharmacy in the University of Ibadan.
Following the non accreditation of Pharmacy course in the University of Ibadan by the National Universities Commission, NUC, the premier university has announced that it would not admit students for the course for 2017/2018 session.

The magazine gathered that the Faculty of Pharmacy could not meet up with the requirements for accreditation; hence the accreditation panel which recently visited the institution suspended the accreditation for the faculty.

However, according to a source in the institution, efforts are ongoing to ensure that the faculty is re-accredited before the 2018/2019 admission exercise.

A statement from the university titled: “Attention applicants to Faculty of Pharmacy”, the institution said, “This is to inform candidates who chose Pharmacy in the University that candidates will not be admitted into the programme for the 2017/18 academic session. This is because the accreditation status of the programme had been denied by The National Universities Commission. Candidates are therefore advised to either change to another University or change their course in the University of Ibadan”.
